London ,"The Big Smoke"

 London is the capital and largest city of England and the United Kingdom , and with  population of just under 9 million of people is a one of the most populated cities in the world .

London is called The Big Smoke, The origin of this  nickname comes from a series of mists that covered the city during the 19th century . It's very cold  and in the winter there are not any good activities in London and always is snowing in winter.

London is bigger than New York and Mexico city with 607 square kilometers is a good place to live. But it's expensive to buy or rent, people say that when they bought their house in London they spent a lot of money

In London there are some very interesting places to visit, for example :

• Buckingham Palace  is a London royal residence and the administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. The palace is often at the centre of state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning.
